Hi, lads and lasses! It occurred to me that building tribes of 21 people or more will take some effort. So I thought maybe it would be good to have a general thread for people who maybe want to start a tribe but don't feel like they'll find enough folks to fill it on their own.

And, there are some who don't want to be the Tribe Leader but would like to join a tribe.

So, just post here. Say what you want. Give some info about yourself: ie: how you know Christopher's books or mine. How active you plan to be? General geographical location? And anything else you think needed for the good of the order. lol

I'm Keeneye and I'd like to lead or co-lead a tribe. I've already started one but changes are going to be made, probably meaning a combination of two tribes but we'll see.

I was suggested WTB's books by a friend and have loved 'em ever since. Because of my love for Bryan Davis's books I discovered Mr. Hopper and the Motiv8 folks and I'm dying to read his books as well.

I am overly active, hours and hours everday. I won a contest similar to this in the past, by a landslide, so I hope to do well again.

I live in KY but those near me, OH, IN, IL, Virginia, PA, etc are welcome. I'll travel to you if you can't come to me.

I'm an avid writer, reader, and have good connections in the Christian Fantasy world

Join the consectro or Nightwing tribe. We'd love to have you (perferably consectro though lol)

I've decided to start the Nightwing Tribe, which is the name of one of the original elven tribes. (Though that name can change depending on tribe opinion ;) Also, if another tribe reaches 21 members and signs up before me, they have first right to the "Nightwing" name.

Anyway, if this tribe wins the grand prize I'd like to set up a live streaming video of the party for those who aren't close enough to attend, assuming the party is near enough to me to set that up. Additionally, right now my blog has about 70 followers, which will hopefully help in rounding up some troops! I'm willing to work hard to promote CH and WtB's books and I'd love for you to join me! What with lack of time and lack of connections to 21 internet savvy elves, I am searching to join a tribe. But you, Tribe Leaders, shall have to convince me first. Why should I join your tribe?

I have a blog, if you are wondering, and already have a link to enterthedoorwithin blogspot, as well as mentioned both Sir Hopper and Sir Batson in a blog post (freaky coincident that I should need those...) But sadly, I cannot devote 24 hours a day to this quest, though I shall do my best to acquire as many points as time allows. I suppose that sums up my "application."

To my grief, I have not yet read any of Sir Hopper's tales. The Curse of the Spider King shall change that, though. I have read everything I can get my hands on by Sir Batson; I have been a long time friend of The Realm. (Never Alone!)

I am located in the eastern United States.

EDIT: Well done, Seth, Keeneye, and Dwarf, in your descriptions. Very helpful indeed.

The Homeschooler Tribe now has a group on Facebook, making us one of the most capable of reaching each other fastest. If you don't have a facebook, that's fine, I have my email open ALL the time.

Sweet, thanks TBH! First member, and, yeah I'll change the name, although I cannot change the name of the thread. Which one do you like? We cannot have Hiddenblade, Silvertree, or Nightwing because they are chosen already, let's continue this on the other thread though.

Well, for you two undecided ones...there is plenty of leadership to be had within a tribe, especially if you join up fast while others are deciding. Speak of what leadership you want and I'll consider it.

I want ST and Millard because you're so awesomely nice, friendly, and I know you love the books. Points don't matter too much. We don't need a million points, as long as you contribute to the tribe at least a tiny LITTLE bit you're welcome. Even if you forget to contribute actually lol. It's not like that would hurt us lol

There's not much convincing to be done really. What's left for you to decide is which leader works hardest, which do you like best, which do you think has the ability to win most likely? lol

Experience: Victor in the "Isle of Fire" contest very similar to this one

Contacts: Coach of the local homeschool tennis team, Awana leader, Facebook member, and sister to a very enthusiastic brother. I also know several people that work in a local bookstore.

Found the books: Thought Batson's books looked vaguely interesting when I had a gift card to Lifeway. Got "Isle of Swords" and "The Door Within" and was hooked. Discovered Hopper's books during the above mentioned "Isle of Fire" contest and am eagerly looking forward to "Athera's Dawn"

I had a lot of fun doing the last contest and look forward to the same with this one. If you're in the vicinity, let me know and we can join forces! And if you're not we might still be able to.

I think I'll be starting a tribe. None of the rest of y'all seem to be close enough for me to be able to take advantage of the book party should my tribe emerge the victor. But if I can't quite dig up the support I need, I will take your offer under consideration. Thanks!

All those that are willing to put work into this contest, JOIN HERE!. Even if you are just interested, please ask questions and we may be able to convince you. The book signing will be held in a central location*depends on where yall live* OR the person with the most points, whatever you chose. I have NOT nominated myself leader I think that a VOTE is a good idea once we get 21 people. And if you try and find AHH! This is NOT for me we'll have another vote. Plz Join FAST

It is my vision that we will have a blog set up JUST for our members to discuss whats going on
Oregon is where I'm based but as it is it doesn't affect much!

DOL, the party has nothing to do with my location. It has to do with the vast majority of the members' in the tribe. If 51% are in Canada...the party will be there lol
